Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Colin's Tire Shop LLC at (205) 621-9911; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 295 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded tire shops in Pelham.

Pelham is in Alabama, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Pelham is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Alabama's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I came in with what turned out to be a bubble on my tire. As I pulled in the man spotted it immediately. He got to working on it while I talked prices with the boss. I went to their waiting room and was so surprised of how nice it was. They even had a vending machine with a variety of drinks and snacks. I recommend this shop. I will go back when I need to.

These guys have always gone above and beyond to take care of me when I need a set of tires or a tire that needs a patch after going to the landfill. They work hard, fast and have great pricing. These are good honest people who want to take care of you.

Colin’s has been my go-to tire shop since moving to Birmingham 4 years ago. My car uses an uncommon tire size and Colin’s pretty much always has it in stock and at a way better price than the bigger box stores. The guys running the place are awesome! They work fast, are honest and upfront about everything, and provide quality service. I have and will continue to go back!

Excellent service. I sat in the car while my tires were replaced. Like NASCAR! Very nice people. VERY good price. I had HEARD how good they were and, sure enough, it was a great experience. Edgar even tolerated me talking his ear off. We definitely will be back.

I went in this morning. I had purchased my own tires, but they put them on for me no problem. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Super nice guy. This is the second time doing it. I would definitely recommend using him. Will be back for rotations and balancing!
